Several reports suggest that Vivo is planning a significant launch event in China during March. It is anticipated that the company will unveil multiple devices, including the Vivo X Fold 3, X Fold 3 Pro, and Pad 3 Pro. Recently, a tipster known as Panda is Bald disclosed that the X Fold series is scheduled to be introduced in the final week of March.
Vivo X Fold 3 series launch date (rumored)
The tipster hinted that the upcoming foldable phones from a certain manufacturer might be revealed on March 26, 27, or 28. While the brand was not explicitly mentioned, indications point towards the unveiling of the Vivo X Fold 3 series.
Should these leaks hold true, Vivo is likely to commence teasing the debut of the X Fold 3 series in the near future. The series is expected to comprise two models, namely the X Fold 3 and X Fold 3 Pro, both equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and 8 Gen 3 chipsets, respectively.
Specifications and Features
Reports suggest that the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro is poised to feature a 6.53-inch cover OLED 120Hz display along with an 8.03-inch foldable OLED 120Hz display internally. These displays are anticipated to support resolutions of 2748 x 1172 pixels and 2408 x 2200 pixels, respectively. Notably, both screens are rumored to incorporate an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint scanner.
The X Fold 3 Pro is expected to offer up to 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM, 1 TB of storage, and a 5,800mAh battery supporting 120W fast charging and 50W wireless charging. Camera-wise, the device is reported to house two 32-megapixel cameras on the outer and inner screens, in addition to a rear setup featuring a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto camera.
On the other hand, the Vivo X Fold 3 is rumored to sport a 50-megapixel telephoto camera instead of a periscope zoom lens. It is expected to pack a 5,700mAh battery supporting 80W wired charging but lacking wireless charging. Other specifications of the X Fold 3 may mirror those of the Pro variant.
Regarding the Pad 3 series, the speculated Vivo Pad 3 Pro featuring the Dimensity 9300 chip might debut alongside the X Fold 3 series. Conversely, the Vivo Pad 3 equipped with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip could potentially launch separately at a later date.
