Vivo V40 Series with ZEISS Cameras Launching in India on Aug 7

Vivo has officially revealed the launch date for its V40 series smartphones in India. The launch is scheduled for next week, and the series will include the V40 and V40 Pro models. These new devices will succeed last year’s Vivo V30 and V30 Pro. Vivo V40 Series India Launch Date

The Vivo V40 series will debut in India on August 7 at 12 pm IST. Both the V40 and V40 Pro feature a pill-shaped camera island. This island includes a circular module with two sensors and an oblong module that houses an aura LED flash and a third lens (specific to the Pro model). Each phone will come with ZEISS-branded cameras and a 50MP selfie camera. According to the microsite, the V40 Pro will be equipped with a 50MP OIS-enabled main lens, a 50MP telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle unit. The devices will also offer ZEISS multifocal portrait capabilities, allowing for shooting at multiple focal lengths, including 24, 35, 50, 85, and 100mm.

Design and Build

Both the Vivo V40 and V40 Pro boast a slim design and come with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, ensuring reliability up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes. The brand has mentioned that these phones have undergone over 70 rigorous tests to protect against accidental bumps and knocks.

Battery and Color Options

The Vivo V40 Pro is set to be the slimmest smartphone with a 5,500mAh battery, supporting 80W fast charging. It will be available in Ganges Blue and Titanium Grey colors. The standard V40 will also come in these colors, with an additional Lotus Purple option.
