Segway has introduced the Xafari Electric Bike at CES 2025. This e-bike is designed for all terrains and features a convenient step-through frame along with various smart functionalities. It is equipped with a motor that delivers a power of up to 750W and a torque of 80 Nm, providing 12 levels of assistance and reaching a top speed of 20 mph (about 32 kph). Additionally, it comes with a 936Wh battery, allowing for an assistance range of up to 88 miles (approximately 142 km).
Advanced Features for Comfort
The Xafari includes suspension both at the front and the rear, offering 80 mm and 70 mm of travel, respectively. The display mounted on the handlebar provides crucial information such as speed and battery life. Furthermore, with Bluetooth connectivity, the bike allows users to control music and answer calls. Apple Find My can be used to locate the bike, and AirLock Keyless Locking helps to prevent theft. Other notable features are hydraulic disc brakes, 26 x 3-inch all-terrain tires, lighting, and a rear rack that can hold up to 55 lbs (around 25 kg).
Availability and Pricing
The Segway Xafari Electric Bike is now available for purchase in the US at a price of $2,399.99. Early buyers can take advantage of a $200 discount by using the code EBIKE200, which is valid until February 2nd. It’s important to point out that the bike can only be collected in person at select locations in cities such as New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Chicago. The Xafari is expected to be available sometime in February. However, it is still uncertain when or if this e-bike will be sold in Europe.
