New Los V1 Foldable Electric Cargo Bike Now Available

The Car.los V1 has just been introduced in Germany as a new foldable electric cargo bike. This latest release features two versions: the V1 Basic and the V1 Full. The main distinction is that the V1 Full includes the Car.los Vario collapsible basket, which has the capacity to carry loads of up to 65 kg (~143 lbs). When factoring in the rider, the maximum allowable weight totals 195 kg (~430 lbs).

Performance and Specifications

Equipped with a Brose Drive T motor, the V1 likely has a top speed limited to 25 kph (~16 mph). It comes with a 552Wh battery, although the company hasn't shared an estimated range for assistance. Some other specifications include an Enviolo N380 cargo stepless transmission, Magura MT-5 hydraulic disc brakes, and Schwalbe Pick-Up tires, with 16-inch wheels at the front and 20-inch wheels at the back. Additional features are a 1.5-inch TFT color display and an 80 Lux headlamp.

Design and Pricing

Constructed from a 6061 aluminum frame, the bike weighs in at 34 kg (~75 lbs) and can be folded for easier storage or transportation. Its dimensions are 2,010 x 650 x 1,150 mm (~79.1 x 25.6 x 45.3) when in use and 1,080 x 440 x 830 mm (~42.5 x 17.3 x 32.7) when folded. You can purchase the Car.los V1 basic electric cargo bike for €4,799 (~$5,042), while the V1 Full version is priced at €5,199 (~$5,462). It remains uncertain if or when this electric bicycle will be available in other nations.
