Realme Buds Wireless 5 ANC Features Confirmed Ahead of Launch

On January 16, Realme will reveal the Realme 14 Pro and Realme 14 Pro+ smartphones in India. Along with these new phones, the company has also confirmed the launch of a new audio accessory, the Realme Buds Wireless 5 ANC, which will be introduced together with the Realme 14 Pro series.

Realme Buds Wireless 5 ANC: A Quick Look

The Realme Buds Wireless 5 ANC is a fresh neckband that connects via Bluetooth, taking the place of last year’s Buds Wireless 3 ANC. Notably, Realme has chosen to skip the “Buds Wireless 4” name, possibly because the number “4” is seen as unlucky in several Asian cultures. Customers can purchase the Buds Wireless 5 ANC through Realme India’s website, Flipkart, and Amazon.

    Features and Specifications

This new neckband is loaded with features aimed at improving user experience. It boasts an impressive battery life of up to 38 hours on a single charge, making it perfect for long listening sessions. The device supports 50dB hybrid active noise cancellation with three adaptive levels, ENC for clearer phone calls, and 400Hz ultra-wideband noise cancellation, providing a distraction-free audio experience. It also has an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance, ensuring it can withstand different environments.

According to a recent report, the Buds Wireless 5 ANC will be available in three colors: Midnight Black, Dawn Sliver, and Twilight Purple. The same report mentioned that other products like the Buds Wireless 5 Lite, Buds Air 7, and Buds T02 are being developed. It is not yet clear if any of these additional products will launch together with the Realme 14 Pro series.

    Upcoming Devices

Last month, Realme introduced the Realme Neo 7 in China, and this device is anticipated to make its way to India in February. However, it is still uncertain if it will keep the Neo 7 name or be renamed to the Realme GT 7T for the Indian audience. Furthermore, some of the mentioned audio products might also be unveiled alongside the Realme Neo 7 / GT 7T.

Realme Plans 8,000mAh Battery Phone; Other Brands Eye 7,000mAh

Later this week, Realme is set to introduce the Realme Neo 7, a budget-friendly flagship smartphone, in China. One of the standout features of this device is its impressive 7,000mAh battery. Recent leaks from the well-known tipster Digital Chat Station indicate that several brands are preparing to release phones with 7,000mAh batteries in China. Moreover, he has mentioned that one company is looking into the possibility of launching a phone with an 8,000mAh battery.

At this point, this idea is still under consideration and may not be confirmed just yet. He also shared that iQOO, Redmi, and OnePlus are also preparing to unveil phones with 7,000mAh batteries, indicating a trend among major brands.

    Details on Upcoming Devices

Based on insights from the supply chain, DCS indicated that an upcoming iQOO phone will have a battery capacity of around 7,000mAh. This device will also boast a high-resolution 2K LTPS Samsung flat display and will include an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. However, the name of this upcoming device remains a mystery for now. The launching date is anticipated to be in 2025 in China. Currently, there is no information available regarding the 7,000mAh battery phones from Redmi and OnePlus.

Recently, iQOO released the iQOO 13, which has a 6,000mAh battery, while Realme launched the Realme GT 7 Pro with a 5,800mAh battery in India and other regions. The iQOO 13 available in China comes with a 6,150mAh battery, and the Realme GT 7 Pro is equipped with a 6,500mAh battery. It is uncertain if the decrease in battery size outside of China is due to regulatory issues.

    Global Launch Expectations

The Realme Neo 7 along with other smartphones featuring 7,000mAh batteries are likely to be available in markets beyond China. It remains to be seen if these global versions will maintain the same battery specifications or if they will be altered for various reasons.
