    The Predator X27U has been around for a bit, having been launched alongside the Predator X45 in spring 2023. Just to give you some background, the Predator X27U (currently priced at $666 on Amazon) is built on a QD-OLED panel made by Samsung Display.

    New Variant Emerges

    Recently, ITHome found out that Acer has released a new version, the Predator X27U X1, which it is now selling in China. Interestingly, this new monitor seems to use the same basic panel as the original Predator X27U, unlike the LG Display WOLED panel found in the Predator X27U F3.

    Impressive Specifications

    The Predator X27U X1 features a native resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels, resulting in a pixel density of 110 PPI. It boasts a refresh rate of 240 Hz, combined with an ultra-fast 0.03 ms GtG response time, plus AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support to reduce tearing during high-speed action. Additionally, the QD-OLED panel achieves 99% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space and can reach 400 nits brightness when displaying HDR content. It even holds the VESA DisplayHDR True Black certification.

    Flexible Design and Connectivity

    The Predator X27U X1 includes an adjustable stand that allows users to tilt, raise, and rotate the monitor as needed. It also has 75 x 75 mm VESA mounts for attaching a third-party stand if preferred. For connectivity, it comes with DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 ports, as well as two 5 W speakers. In China, the Predator X27U X1 is priced at CNY 2,999 (around $414), but there’s no news yet about when it will be available internationally.

    Acer has unveiled a new gaming monitor in the Predator lineup, named the X27U X1, specifically for the Chinese market. This monitor is priced at 2,999 yuan ($414) and can be purchased on JD.com. Let’s take a look at its main features.

    Key Features of Predator X27U X1

    The Predator X27U X1 comes equipped with a 26.5-inch QD-OLED screen that has a WQHD 2K resolution of 2560×1440, providing a pixel density of 110 PPI for sharp and clear images. It has a native refresh rate of 240Hz, which allows for extremely smooth gameplay, particularly in high-speed FPS games. With an impressive 0.03ms GTG response time, the monitor effectively reduces motion blur and offers precise, lag-free gaming experiences.

    Advanced Gaming Technology

    Additionally, the Predator X27U X1 supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro technology. This feature aligns the refresh rate of the monitor with the graphics card’s output, which helps to prevent screen tearing and stuttering, leading to a smooth visual experience.

    When it comes to color performance, the monitor covers a 99% DCI-P3 wide color gamut and provides a 10-bit color depth, which results in rich, accurate, and vibrant colors with a range of over 1.07 billion shades.
