Recently, the POCO F7 Pro was discovered on the IMDA certification platform, and now, both the POCO F7 and POCO F7 Ultra have also been found listed on the same database. Let’s dive into the details.

POCO F7 and POCO F7 Ultra Launch Imminent?

According to the IMDA certification (via MySmartPrice), the two new smartphones have been identified with model numbers 24122RKC7G and 2412DPC0AG. While this certification does not disclose specific details about the POCO phones, it does confirm that they will support 5G connectivity, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and NFC. Moreover, this listing suggests that the POCO F7 series is likely to hit the global market in the near future.

POCO F7 Ultra: What to Expect

The names POCO F7 and POCO F7 Ultra were previously found in the IMEI database, with the latter being the first device ever to carry the “Ultra” branding. From what we have gathered so far, the POCO F7 Ultra could potentially be a rebranded version of the Redmi K80 Pro. For those who might not know, the K80 Pro is set to launch soon in China and is expected to showcase high-end specifications and features. Reports indicate that the Redmi K80 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC and will feature a 6.67-inch OLED screen with a 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

Power and Performance of POCO F7 Ultra

Rumors also suggest that the POCO F7 Ultra will come with a gigantic 6,000mAh battery that supports 120W wired fast charging. This model may also be the first to introduce wireless fast charging capabilities. Just earlier today, we noted that the Redmi Turbo 4 appeared on the 3C certification with 90W wired fast charging. The POCO F7 is anticipated to launch as a rebranded Redmi Turbo 4, and it could potentially feature the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 SoC, a 6,000mAh battery, a 1.5K resolution display, and much more.

In previous iterations of its Redmi K series, Xiaomi typically launched three devices, but it appears that this time they are focusing on just two models: the Redmi K80 and the Redmi K80 Pro. While there have been reports indicating the existence of the Redmi K80 and K80 Pro models, it remains uncertain whether a Redmi K80e will be introduced this year. Nevertheless, three new devices believed to belong to the K80 series have received approval from China’s 3C certification authority.

The global version of this phone, listed as 24122RKC7G in the IMEI database, will be available as the Poco F7 Ultra.

Details on K80 Pro and Other Variants

The Redmi K80 Pro has generated a lot of excitement among technology fans. Recent leaks from XiaomiTime suggest that the camera capabilities of the Redmi K80 Pro will be quite impressive. It’s anticipated that the POCO F7 Ultra will share similar features with the Redmi K80 Pro, as the latter will be released globally under the POCO name. Xiaomi Poco F7 Ultra Global Launch with Snapdragon 8 Elite Chipset

Earlier this week, Xiaomi announced that it would be one of the first Android manufacturers to launch a smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Just to clarify, this new Qualcomm processor is set to be the core of the Xiaomi 15, and it is also anticipated to appear in the Xiaomi 15 Pro and Xiaomi 15 Ultra models.

    Redmi K80 Pro Expected Soon

Additionally, the Redmi K80 Pro is a strong contender for featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite. Judging by the recent patterns of the Redmi K series, the Redmi K80 Pro is expected to arrive in late November or December 2024. • Poco F7 Ultra Appears in IMEI as the Brand’s First Ultra Phone

Poco F7 Ultra Appears in IMEI as the Brand’s First Ultra Phone

In July, we shared that Poco is working on the Poco F7 series, as the Pro model was seen in the IMEI database. Normally, the Pro model is the premium option in the Poco F lineup, but this might change with the new F7 series.

    Poco F7 Ultra Emerges

Recently, a new Poco F7 Ultra has been spotted in the IMEI list with the model number 24122RKC7G. This was noticed by an X user, and it appeared alongside the Poco F7 Pro.

Interestingly, the model number for the Poco F7 Ultra is identical to that of the Redmi K80. This could mean that the Poco F7 Ultra might just be a rebranded Redmi K80. If this turns out to be true, here’s what you might expect from the phone.

    Specs of the Redmi K80

The Redmi K80 is predicted to come with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. On the display side, it’s likely to have a 2K flat OLED screen, which previous reports say will be manufactured by TCL.

Furthermore, the phone is anticipated to include a telephoto lens that can capture macro images. Additionally, there is a possibility of a large 6500mAh battery making an appearance.

    Trends in Smartphone Battery Capacity

A larger battery, particularly in the 6000mAh range, appears to be becoming a norm for smartphones in 2024. Many flagship models are rumored to feature batteries of this size, and even Redmi’s own Note 14 Pro+ is said to include a 6200mAh battery.

We also look forward to at least an IP68 rating, and possibly an IP69 rating, since even the more budget-friendly Redmi Note 14 Pro has already been confirmed to sport an IP69 rating.

The K80 is set to launch alongside its Pro counterpart, which is also likely to be equipped with the same chipset, unless it uses the newer Snapdragon 8 Elite, and will have a similar display but may differ in charging capabilities and battery size.
