Xiaomi is preparing to unveil its new flagship device, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, which is set to excite photography lovers with its new features. This smartphone is rumored to come with a macro camera that has an impressive minimum focus distance of approximately 10cm, along with a revamped photography kit.

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is said to include a macro camera that can focus as close as around 10cm, as per a post on Weibo by reliable tipster Digital Chat Station. This improved macro feature will enable users to easily capture fine details. Moreover, the phone’s camera module is anticipated to showcase a red-ring design and a fresh coating for the telephoto lenses. While DCS didn’t go into detail about the new coating, it usually means less lens flare and better clarity.
New Photography Kit on the Way
The tipster also mentions that the device will likely be paired with a new photography kit. This kit is designed to improve the overall experience for users, compensating for the lack of basic leather designs in this series. Additionally, Morandi-style phone cases will be made available for this flagship collection.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra has already gained 3C certification, which confirms that it supports 90W fast charging. It’s also designed to function as a “satellite mobile terminal,” allowing for standard Tiantong satellite calls and Beidou satellite text messaging. These features make the phone a practical choice for both urban and remote settings.
Impressive Battery and Specifications
Rumored specs include a large battery, potentially the biggest in any Xiaomi flagship. While the Xiaomi 15 Pro comes with a 6100mAh battery, the 15 Ultra is expected to exceed that. It will support 90W wired and 50W wireless fast charging options.
Regarding photography, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is rumored to sport a 200MP periscope telephoto, a 50MP ‘medium-telephoto’, and a main sensor of 1-inch with an f/1.63 aperture. These advancements should help it maintain its status as a leading camera phone.
A spokesperson from Xiaomi Group, Wei Siqi, has confirmed that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will officially launch in February.
