DJI Mini 5 Pro: Insights on Mini 4 Pro Drone Successor

New details have surfaced regarding the DJI Mini 5 series. To summarize, earlier reports from December indicated that the Mini 5 or Mini 5 Pro would be launched in summer 2025. However, Jasper Ellens later mentioned that the series might not debut until ‘late 2025,’ and he has now provided further insights.

    Release Timeline Speculations

Ellens specifically pointed out ‘8 more months’ when asked about the lack of rumors surrounding the Mini 5 Pro. This might suggest that significant leaks regarding the Mini 5 Pro could start in October, which would be just after the Mini 4 Pro’s second anniversary (currently $1,359 on Amazon).

    Possibility of October Launch

Conversely, one might think that October could actually be when the Mini 5 Pro launches, especially considering the potential release of an Air 4 drone before the next year begins. The Mini 5 Pro is anticipated to be unveiled alongside the Neo 2, possibly during a joint event. Meanwhile, it appears that one of the Osmo Action 6, Osmo Mobile 7, or the RS 4 Mini may be the next to hit the market.

    Future Developments

Jasper Ellens’ insights continue to spark interest as enthusiasts await more information about the DJI Mini 5 series. With the timeline shifting, it’s clear that many are eager to see what innovations these new models will bring.

  • DJI Flip Drone Specs Revealed Early: Unique Foldable Design

DJI Flip Drone Specs Revealed Early: Unique Foldable Design

Jasper Ellens has revealed fresh insights about the DJI Flip, which may turn out to be one of the more unusual drone releases from DJI. To summarize, information regarding this yet-to-be-released drone has been gradually surfacing over the past couple of weeks. This has been partly due to a recent listing by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), which came shortly after DJI’s global launch of the Mic Mini, currently priced at $169 on Amazon.

    Early Leaks and Official Timing

Usually, when leaks come out early like this, it hints that the product is still some time away from its official reveal. But Ellens’ new information offers a different perspective. As illustrated in the image below, the leaker has discovered Amazon Mexico mentioning the Flip in a listing for the existing Mini 3 drone.

    Specifications and Features

The Flip is reportedly around 300 x 300 x 80 mm in size, which we think pertains to the drone’s dimensions when it’s unfolded. If this is true, the Flip would be positioned between the Mini 4 Pro and the Neo, which are sized at 298 x 373 x 101 mm and 130 × 157 × 48.5 mm, respectively. In addition, the Flip is expected to weigh 249 g, even though it supposedly comes with an 18% bigger battery compared to the Mini 4 Pro.

    Pricing and Availability

It seems that DJI plans to sell the Flip separately, not just bundled in a Fly More Combo package. Regardless, the mention of it possibly including an RC 2 remote controller indicates that the Flip’s Fly More Combo could likely cost over $1,000, similar to what we see with the Mini 4 Pro. Unfortunately, the timing for DJI’s official announcement of the Flip remains uncertain.

DJI Mic Mini Launch: Pricing, Battery Life, and Leak Details

Only a short while ago, Igor Bogdanov disclosed some interesting information regarding DJI’s upcoming budget microphone. To give some background, DJI already has products like the DJI Mic 2 and the more affordable older model, the DJI Mic, which is currently priced at $249 on Amazon. Nevertheless, reports suggest that the new DJI Mic Mini will be even less expensive.

    Pricing Details

According to both Bogdanov and Jasper Ellens, the starting price for the Mic Mini is expected to be just €59 (about $62). For an extra €30, users can get a version that includes a transmitter and receiver, bringing the total to €89 (around $94). Additionally, a full bundle containing two transmitters, a receiver, and a charger will be priced at €169 (approximately $179).

    Release Date Expectations

Sadly, there is still no confirmed release date from the popular leakers. However, Ellens has mentioned that the launch of the DJI Mic Mini is “coming up real soon.” This leads to the reasonable assumption that DJI might officially unveil its first true budget microphone by the end of this month, at the very latest.

    Battery Life Insights

On another note, Ellens has indicated that this microphone can operate for up to 10 hours on one charge when connected to a smartphone via Bluetooth. In comparison, its proprietary charger is said to deliver up to 48 hours of battery life before needing a recharge. Ultimately, DJI doesn’t have much more to disclose about the Mic Mini. Meanwhile, Ellens has also shared new promotional images of the product, which can be seen above and below.

  • DJI Goggles N3: Affordable Pricing for Budget FPV Drone Headset

DJI Goggles N3: Affordable Pricing for Budget FPV Drone Headset

Jasper Ellens has shared what he thinks is the launch price for DJI’s upcoming first-person view (FPV) goggles, just a day after discussing when the device might be released. To recap, he mentioned that DJI plans to launch a budget-friendly version of the Goggles 3 in early November, likely on the 5th or 7th.

    Pricing Details

Interestingly, the Goggles N3 is expected to be priced lower than Ellens initially thought, especially in Europe. For some perspective, the current price for the Goggles 3 is €659 in the Eurozone. In comparison, Ellens has indicated that the Goggles N3 will retail for €269 if purchased alone, and €529 when bundled with the Neo drone as part of the Neo Motion Combo.

    Compatibility Insights

Initially, it was believed that the Goggles N3 would only work with the Avata 2 and Neo. However, Ellens now thinks that due to the headset’s capabilities with OcuSync 4 video transmission technology, DJI might also include support for the Air 3S and Mini 4 Pro (currently priced at $759 on Amazon).

    Future Specifications

As of now, the complete specifications for the Goggles N3 are still uncertain. However, promotional images have surfaced online, which we have included below. So, we anticipate that it won’t be long before insiders like Jasper Ellens acquire pre-release specifications as well.
