Lava has added a new member to its budget-friendly Yuva series, named the Yuva Smart. This latest entry-level smartphone comes right after the Yuva 2, which was released in December 2024. When we compare, the Yuva Smart features a somewhat bigger display and a less powerful processor than the Yuva 2. To be more specific, the Yuva Smart has a 6.75-inch LCD display (increased from 6.67 inches) with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels and a refresh rate of 60 Hz.
Specifications and Performance
This smartphone is powered by a Unisoc 9863A octa-core processor, combined with 3 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded to 512 GB using a MicroSD card. It operates on Android 14 Go Edition right out of the box, but the company has not mentioned any information regarding future software updates. In terms of camera, there’s a single 13 MP primary camera on the back, along with an AI secondary sensor. Meanwhile, the front includes a 5 MP camera for selfies and video calls.
Design and Features
The Yuva Smart is about 8.8 mm (0.34 inches) thick and weighs roughly 193.3 grams (0.42 lbs). It is equipped with a 5000 mAh battery that allows for 10 W wired charging. Other features that come with the Yuva Smart include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, support for up to 3 GB of RAM expansion, and WiFi connectivity. Unfortunately, it does not have any protection against water or dust.
