Synology Launches Enterprise Application Blueprint in India

Synology recently showcased its high-end hardware at an event in Mumbai, India. The highlight was the impressive High Density HD6500, a massive 60-bay NAS equipped with two Intel Xeon Silver 4210R processors, 64 GB of ECC RAM, and capable of accommodating up to 1.2 PB of storage. The company also shared its future software plans and aspirations for the Indian market. Michael Chang, the head of sales for Synology in the Asia-Pacific region, remarked:

Due to the rising demand from tech trends like AI, IoT, and digital transformation, Synology has excelled in the Indian enterprise sector, particularly in areas like government, manufacturing, and media. Looking ahead, we remain committed to fulfilling the storage requirements of expanding businesses.

Software Solutions

In addition to their hardware offerings, Synology discussed their ActiveProtect software suite designed for large deployments. Introduced in June, this suite centralizes data protection policies, tasks, and devices across an organization, providing a cohesive management and control system. Russel Chen, Country Manager for the SAARC region, commented:

The ActiveProtect series is perfectly suited for the Indian market, emphasizing data recovery and immutability, which makes it a dependable tool for IT to maintain data security. Moreover, we are confident that the multi-site compatible system will integrate well with the business framework in India.

Additional Features

To wrap things up, Synology also presented its C2 Surveillance Station, which connects directly with Synology devices to enhance physical security. Furthermore, Synology's alternative to Microsoft Office, called Office Suite, has been upgraded with generative AI features to boost productivity.
