Sharp has launched two premium projectors in June, named the P601Q and P721Q, aiming at professional settings like corporate offices, museums, and academic institutions. Initially, detailed specifications were not released, but now all necessary details can be found. Both projectors boast 4K UHD resolution and utilize laser technology. As of now, the P601Q can be bought from B&H Photo Video, while the P721Q is on back-order, indicating it will also be available for purchase soon.
Bright Visuals for Any Environment
The Sharp P601Q is tailored for those who require bright and clear visuals even in well-lit spaces. With a brightness of 6000 ANSI lumens, this projector delivers vivid images without losing light quality. It supports a 4K UHD resolution (3840x2160), ensuring sharp and detailed displays. It features an impressive dynamic contrast ratio of 3,000,000:1, enhancing picture quality with deeper blacks along with brighter whites.
Enhanced Performance with the P721Q
In contrast, the P721Q offers even more brightness, delivering 7200 ANSI lumens, making it suitable for even brighter settings. Similar to the P601Q, it also supports 4K UHD resolution; however, its higher brightness output is perfect for larger spaces with more intense ambient light. Both projectors utilize DLP technology and laser-phosphor light sources, providing around 20,000 hours of use, which means they need minimal maintenance while ensuring consistent performance.
Flexible Installation Features
Both models come with motorized lens shift capabilities (both horizontal and vertical) and autofocus, making installation and image alignment hassle-free. They can project images ranging from 60 to 300 inches at distances between 1.6 to 13.4 meters, making them versatile for various room sizes. Additionally, their design allows for 360° roll-free installation, offering users the ability to project from different angles.
The integrated 20W audio system is suitable for medium-sized rooms, and connectivity options include HDBaseT, HDMI, RJ-45, and USB-A ports. The ECO Mode from Sharp significantly cuts down on power usage and noise levels, with the P601Q running at 34 dB (Eco) and the P721Q operating at a similar volume.
Built to Last
Durability is another key feature, as both projectors come with an IP5X dust-resistant construction and are compatible with Crestron RoomView for remote management purposes. The P721Q is priced at $6,499, targeting larger venues, while the P601Q is available for $5,199, making it a more budget-friendly choice for smaller professional environments. Both models are backed by a three-year warranty for added reassurance.
