Japanese electronics giant Sharp is set to unveil its latest lineup of color E-Ink products during the Sharp Technology Day event, which will take place from November 10-12. The new E-Ink products will feature the innovative IGZO technology and include cutting-edge color e-posters. Sharp claims that the new E-Ink offering is not only cost-effective but also eco-friendly.

Features

The highly anticipated Sharp Technology Day Event is scheduled to take place in Tokyo. One of the highlights of the event is the introduction of the A2-sized color e-poster, which incorporates both E Ink Spectra technology and the IGZO backplane technology. This combination allows the e-poster to deliver vibrant colors with exceptional contrast that rivals premium color printing paper. Notably, this model is set to become the industry’s first color e-paper billboard. In addition to its impressive performance, the e-poster boasts a sleek design and consumes zero power when in standby mode.

Another exciting product in the lineup is the 8-inch color e-paper display, specifically designed for e-note devices and e-book readers. This product showcases the innovative Sharp Display Technology, IGZO, which has garnered attention from the industry. E Ink and Sharp have already announced a collaboration to develop a range of e-paper signage, e-note devices, and e-readers. The utilization of Indium Gallium Zinc Oxide (IGZO) backpane technology in the manufacturing of e-paper modules for e-readers and e-note gadgets further highlights the cutting-edge nature of these devices.

Unfortunately, no specific details regarding the release dates and pricing information for the new Sharp E-Ink products have been disclosed at this time. However, more information is expected to be revealed during the showcase of these products at the Tokyo International Exhibition Center during the Sharp Technology event.
