Samsung unveils 1TB Pro Plus, Evo Plus microSD cards

Samsung has recently unveiled 1TB versions of its Pro Plus and Evo Plus microSD cards, aimed at meeting the growing demand for high-capacity and high-performance storage options. These latest products utilize Samsung’s eighth-generation V-NAND (V8) technology, boosting their performance and reliability.

Specifications

When it comes to performance, the Pro Plus microSD card boasts impressive read speeds of up to 180MB/s and write speeds of up to 130MB/s. It supports UHS Speed Class 3 and Video Speed Class 30, which are crucial for high-quality content creation, especially for 4K UHD video recording. Moreover, the Pro Plus card features A2 Application Performance, enhancing its efficiency.

The Evo Plus card, while slightly less powerful, still offers robust performance with read speeds of up to 160MB/s. It also supports U3 Speed Grade and V30 video speed class, making it suitable for everyday data storage and multitasking. The Evo Plus card is also equipped with A2 Application Performance.

The new Pro Plus and Evo Plus microSD cards come in various capacities, ranging from 128GB to a whopping 1TB. Additionally, the Evo Plus offers a 64GB option. This makes it possible to store an enormous amount of data on the go. For instance, users can store up to 400,000 4K UHD images or over 45 console games on a single 1TB card.

Durability and Reliability

Both the Pro Plus and Evo Plus microSD cards are designed to be durable, capable of withstanding water exposure, high temperatures, X-rays, magnetic fields, drops, and general wear and tear.

The cards are now available for purchase on Samsung’s website and select global retailers. They come with a 10-year limited warranty, offering peace of mind.
