Hardly anytime has gone by since Ice Universe shared their thoughts on an intriguing feature of Samsung's anticipated limited edition foldable. In short, the leaker talked about the display crease in the Galaxy Z Fold6 Special Edition, claiming it is 'better than ever'. Now, it looks like Evan Blass might have given us a first glimpse of this device, which we’ve included below.
A Sneak Peek
Sadly, Blass has only provided a small portion of a much bigger image. Additionally, they haven’t identified the device itself. Still, the design appears to reflect the characteristics of a Galaxy Z Fold model, though there are some notable variations from the current Galaxy Z Fold6 (curr. $1,598.90 - 512 GB on Amazon).
Design Differences
On one side, the unnamed device displays a different layout for the power and volume buttons compared to the Galaxy Z Fold6. To compare, the Galaxy Z Fold6 has a recessed power button, while the one shown here is protruding. Moreover, both buttons seem to be housed in a slimmer casing, which has been a persistent rumor regarding the Galaxy Z Fold6 Special Edition.
A Touch of Luxury
Conversely, the device features a gold mid-frame with horizontal stripes, which is more flashy than Samsung's latest Galaxy Z Fold models. This finish resembles the W24, a version of the Galaxy Z Fold5 that Samsung exclusively offers in China. Since Samsung has not yet revealed a Chinese version of the Galaxy Z Fold6, we think the image might represent the W25, and by extension, the Galaxy Z Fold6 Special Edition. As it stands, Samsung is anticipated to announce both later this month, although the Galaxy Z Fold6 Special Edition is currently rumored to be launching only in South Korea for now.
