An affordable Samsung Galaxy Watch has been talked about frequently in recent times. It is anticipated to be unveiled at the Galaxy Unpacked event, alongside the Galaxy Watch 7 series and the Galaxy Ring. There are rumors that the South Korean company might introduce an FE version of the Galaxy Watch, but it is likely to be named the Galaxy Watch 4. According to a new report, the budget-friendly Galaxy Watch has now been seen on the official support pages of Samsung’s UK and Latin America websites.
Samsung Galaxy Watch FE appears on official support pages
The Samsung Galaxy Watch FE is listed on the Samsung UK and Samsung North America websites under the model number SM-R861. This suggests that its launch is imminent. Interestingly, the TDRA certification of the same smartwatch confirmed the Galaxy Watch FE name. While the support pages do not disclose any significant details about the forthcoming wearable, they do indicate the impending arrival of an affordable Galaxy Watch.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch FE with model number SM-R861 was also recently seen on the FCC website. It confirmed support for 5W wireless charging. Additionally, another report stated that the upcoming wearable would be available in the US, Korea, and other global markets. A well-known tipster, Evan Blass, also shared a list of forthcoming Samsung products, which included the Galaxy Watch FE.
Name Confusion
While the likelihood of an affordable Galaxy Watch seems more certain now, there is still some confusion regarding its name. It is unclear whether Samsung will call it the Galaxy Watch FE or the Galaxy Watch 4 (2024). This is because the latter also shares the same SM-R860 model number.
