Redmi K80, K80 Pro Get Radio Certification Before Nov Launch

Xiaomi is anticipated to introduce the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro, featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip, in the last week of October. Meanwhile, its sub-brand is reportedly developing the Redmi K80 series for the domestic market. Speculation suggests that both the K80 and K80 Pro will launch in November. Recently, the K80 series has obtained radio certification, indicating a November release is likely.

Radio Certification for Redmi K80 Series

Two upcoming Xiaomi devices, identified by the model numbers 24122RKC7C and 24117RK2CC, have appeared on China's radio certification platform. These models, which were earlier spotted in the IMEI database, are believed to be the Redmi K80 and K80 Pro phones.

Specifications and Features

Recent leaks indicate that the Redmi K80 and K80 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipsets, respectively. They are expected to sport a flat OLED display offering a 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The K80 series might be equipped with a 6,500mAh battery and support up to 120W fast charging. For security, the K80 Pro may include an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint scanner, while the K80 may use an optical-type fingerprint sensor. The Pro model's rear camera setup could feature a 50-megapixel main camera, an ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel 3x telephoto lens.

Market Competition and Availability

In China, the Redmi K80 and K80 Pro are set to compete with the OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro smartphones. These models are also expected to debut in November and will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and 8 Gen 4 chipsets, respectively.

Rumors indicate that the Redmi K80 Pro might remain exclusive to the Chinese market. Conversely, the K80 could be rebranded as the Poco F7 Pro for a global release.
