Redmi is set to introduce the Redmi K70 Ultra, a high-performance flagship smartphone, later this month in China. A recent Weibo post by Wang Teng Thomas, the Deputy General Manager of Xiaomi China Marketing Department and General Manager of the Redmi brand, confirmed details about the K70 Ultra's display.

Redmi K70 Ultra to Showcase C8+ Screen

Wang Teng Thomas noted in his Weibo post that he attended the launch event for the C8+ luminous display panel in Wuhan, a joint venture between Xiaomi and TCL Huaxing. He highlighted two significant advancements in the C8+ material: a remarkable over 100% increase in pixel life and industry-leading luminous efficiency.

The Redmi K70 Ultra will be the first to feature this new C8+ display, boasting a 1.5K resolution. Reports suggest it will have a flat screen supporting up to a 144Hz refresh rate. It is likely to be equipped with the PixelWorks X7 display chip to enhance the gaming experience. Security-wise, it will include an in-screen fingerprint sensor.

Specifications and Features

Powered by the Dimensity 9300 Plus, the Redmi K70 Ultra is anticipated to offer combinations of LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, including 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB options. It will likely house a 5,500mAh battery with 120W fast charging capability.

The K70 Ultra will feature a 20-megapixel front camera and a triple camera setup on the back, comprising a 50-megapixel main sensor with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. Additional expected features include a metal frame, an efficient VC heat dissipation unit, and an IP68-rated chassis.
