In May, Xiaomi launched the Redmi Buds 6 Active in China, and now these earbuds have been listed on the brand’s global website, suggesting an imminent worldwide release.
Features and Design
The Redmi Buds 6 Active boasts an ergonomic semi-in-ear design, ensuring comfort and secure fit during use. They come in a vibrant blue shade, featuring a transparent case cover and a sleek high-gloss accent strip. Built to withstand water exposure, these earbuds have an IPX4 rating, making them ideal for sports and travel.
Sound and Performance
Equipped with a 14.2mm dynamic driver unit, the Buds 6 Active delivers deep bass. Users can choose from five preset sound modes: Bass Boost, High Treble Boost, Vocal Boost, Volume Boost, and Default. For seamless phone calls, the earbuds are fitted with dual-microphone wind noise reduction technology, which reduces surrounding and wind noise up to 4m/s. Additionally, they support a one-touch voice assistant activation.
The earbuds offer up to 30 hours of playtime with the charging case, and up to 6 hours on a single charge. A quick 10-minute charge provides 1 hour of music playback. Featuring Bluetooth 5.4, the Redmi Buds 6 Active ensures faster and more stable connections, along with 90ms ultra-low latency. They are also certified by NetEase Cloud Music for optimized audio performance when paired with the app.
Pricing & Availability
Details about the global release of these earbuds are yet to be disclosed by the brand. However, they are currently available for purchase on Geekbuying for around 25 euros.
