The GeForce RTX 50 series is coming soon. Nvidia is likely to officially unveil at least the GeForce RTX 5080 and GeForce RTX 5090 during CES 2025, which takes place in January. Interestingly, recent leaks have revealed pricing for the RTX 5090 as well.
End of the RTX 40 Series
It appears that Nvidia has wrapped up work on the RTX 40 series. However, there has been a new leak concerning what was once expected to be its strongest consumer graphics card from the Ada Lovelace lineup. This card, initially speculated to be the GeForce RTX 4090 Ti or the RTX Titan Ada, has been rumored multiple times last year after it was supposedly cancelled.
Images of a Prototype
Until now, only the housing and cooler of the card had been visible. Nevertheless, a Reddit user known as u/This_Explanation_514 has posted pictures that might show a full prototype "taken from a junk computer bin." It seems that the Redditor has given us a first glance at the PCB of the GeForce RTX 4090 Ti, which we’ve included below. Interestingly, Nvidia appears to have turned this card 90 degrees, causing the display and PCIe connectors to be on separate boards.
Details on Design and Specifications
Moreover, the same post displays the card's additional mounting system, which would be essential due to its quad-slot design. According to rumors from that time, Nvidia outfitted the RTX 4090 Ti with an AD102 GPU containing 18,172 CUDA cores, which is a 10% increase compared to the GeForce RTX 4090 (currently priced at $1,979.97 on Amazon). Allegedly, Nvidia scrapped this card because existing solutions were already comparable to what AMD had available at that moment.
