Realme is reportedly developing a new budget-friendly tablet, which may soon debut in India. The upcoming device, the Realme Pad 3, has recently received certification in the country, succeeding the Realme Pad 2 that was introduced last year. Here’s what we know so far.
Realme Pad 3 India Launch on the Horizon
The Chinese brand was identified on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) with the model number RMP2402. This is the same model number that we highlighted in our exclusive report from July. It was anticipated that the device in question would be the Realme Pad 3, and the BIS listing now supports this expectation. Unfortunately, the certification does not disclose any specific details about its hardware or features. However, it does confirm that the Realme Pad 3 is poised for an imminent launch in the Indian market.
Realme Pad 3 Camera Details
The camera details of the Realme Pad 3 were also unveiled through a listing on the Camera FV5 certification, as reported by 91Mobiles. According to the online database, the tablet will feature an 8-megapixel rear sensor with a maximum resolution of 3264×2448, a 2.8mm focal length, and an f/2.0 aperture. While there is no mention of OIS or EIS stabilization, the front is equipped with a 5-megapixel sensor with an f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video calls.
What to Expect from Realme Pad 3?
The Realme Pad 2 was released in both Wi-Fi only and 4G LTE versions. It boasts an 11.5-inch 2K display with a 120Hz refresh rate and is powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 SoC. Additionally, it features a large 8,360mAh battery pack that supports 33W wired fast charging. These versions were priced under 20,000 INR. It’s likely that the Realme Pad 3 will offer similar specifications with some enhancements, such as a newer chipset. There might be a price increase with the new model, but this remains unconfirmed.
