Realme has recently shared that new models in its 13 series of smartphones will be launched shortly, starting with what appears to be the most affordable option.
Upcoming Budget Smartphone
The new device, which aims to follow the stylish and budget-friendly 12x (currently listed on Amazon.in for INR 12,690 (~$150) with 8GB of RAM), will be officially revealed on December 18, 2024. On the same day, sales will begin with prices expected to be around ~INR 14,999 (~$177), as hinted by Realme.
Design and Features
The 14x is set to feature the same IP69 rating as the high-end GT 7 Pro model, although the designs of these two smartphones will be quite different. This budget-friendly phone will showcase a "Diamond Design" on the back, similar to the camera layout of the Oppo Reno12; however, it seems that only 2 out of the 3 camera cut-outs will actually work.
Color Options and Display
Distinct from the Monet Design of the 13 series, the 14x will be available in red, black, or gold. While Realme has not yet shared more teasers about the 14x, early indications suggest that the smartphone will feature a flat display with a bit of a chin, aligning with its stylish flat frame.
