Radius has unveiled three fresh color options for its cat-themed Neko HP-C28BT true wireless earbuds. Each pair stands out with its unique earbud marbling design. The Neko earbuds are designed to meow in Japanese, mimicking the sounds of an anime cat, in response to various inputs or phone calls.
Specifications and Features
The Neko earbuds are equipped with 6.1 mm drivers that offer a frequency range from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, delivering a maximum sound output level of 90 +/- 4 dB. They are rated IPX4, which means they can resist water splashes. Using Bluetooth 5.3, the earbuds connect to smartphones and other devices from a distance of up to 33 ft (10 m) and support both SBC and AAC Bluetooth audio codecs.
Battery Life and Charging
With a runtime of 3.5 hours, the HP-C28BT earbuds recharge in just 1.5 hours. The included charging case provides an additional five charges and takes two hours to recharge itself. There are fish-shaped LED lights on the case to show how much battery is left. Each earbud weighs 0.11 oz (3 g), while the charging case has a weight of 1.1 oz (30 g). Each set includes three sizes of ear tips and a USB-C to USB-A charging cable.
New Models and Availability
The Radius Neko will be available in three new models: Chatora (HP-C28BTC), Hachiware (HP-C28BTH), and Mike (HP-C28BTM), set to launch in January 2025 at an MSRP of 8,822 yen (approximately $59). For those eager to get a Neko sooner, the Kuro (HP-C28BTK), Mix (HP-C28BTN), and Shiro (HP-C28BTW) models from Radius are available for purchase now. Cat enthusiasts might also want to consider the Hello Kitty wireless headphones, which are available on Amazon for the holiday season.
