Earlier this month, Indonesia’s SDPPI certification platform approved the Poco F7 Pro and Poco F7 Ultra. These devices were identified by their model numbers: 24117RK2CG and 24122RKC7G. Recently, the F7 Pro has also been listed in Thailand’s NBTC certification database, suggesting a possible early launch.
Poco F7 Pro Certification in Thailand
The Poco F7 Pro (model number 24117RK2CG) has been certified by Thailand’s NBTC, as shown in the screenshot above. To remind everyone, the Poco F6 Pro was added to the NBTC database back in March 2024 and was officially launched in May. Given this timeline, the F7 Pro is anticipated to make its debut in about two to three months, likely seeing an official announcement by late March or April.
Other Certifications and Variants
In addition to being found on the Indonesian and Thai certification platforms, the F7 Pro has also received approval from IMDA in Singapore and TDRA in the UAE. Currently, there are no indications of Indian variants for the F7 Pro and F7 Ultra, which may mean that only the Poco F7 will be available in the country. There’s a chance that the Pro and Ultra versions may launch before the F7, which is said to feature the upcoming Snapdragon 8s Elite chipset.
Expected Specs and Rebranding
There are reports that the F7 Pro and F7 Ultra could actually be rebranded versions of the Redmi K80 and K80 Pro, which were introduced in China in November 2024. Therefore, the F7 Pro is expected to come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, while the Ultra version might include the Snapdragon 8 Elite.
Regarding the Poco F7, it may also be a rebranded version of the upcoming Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, set to launch with the Snapdragon 8s Elite in April this year in China. The Turbo 4 Pro is expected to come with other features, like a 1.5K OLED display and a massive 7,500mAh battery that supports 90W fast charging.
