POCO has introduced the F6 series smartphones to the global market, featuring the POCO F6 and POCO F6 Pro models. However, only the standard model is available in India. These devices are essentially rebranded versions of the Redmi Turbo 3 and Redmi K70 Pro, which are sold in China. This strategy aligns with POCO's typical practice of rebranding Redmi phones.
POCO F6 Series Specifications and Features
Both the POCO F6 and F6 Pro come with a 6.67-inch OLED display, including a fingerprint scanner and a 120Hz refresh rate. The POCO F6 offers a 1.5K resolution and peak brightness of 2,400 nits, while the F6 Pro boasts a 2K resolution and peak brightness of 4,000 nits. Gorilla Glass Victus protects both screens. The standard model features two protruding camera rings, whereas the pro model has a rectangular camera island.
For photography, the POCO F6 is equipped with a dual rear camera setup that includes a 50MP Sony LYT-600 OIS-enabled main sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The K70 Pro, on the other hand, has a triple rear camera system with a 50MP OIS main sensor, a 2MP macro unit, and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens. Both models sport a 20MP front camera for selfies, with the pro version offering a 16MP front camera. Both devices also include AI features like object eraser.
Performance and Storage
The POCO F6 is powered by a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, while the F6 Pro runs on a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The F6 offers up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, whereas the Pro version supports up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. Both models include a heat dissipation system and are backed by a 5,000mAh battery. The standard model supports 90W charging, while the pro model offers up to 120W charging. Both smartphones come with HyperOS-based Android 14 out of the box.
Pricing and Availability
In India, the POCO F6 starts at Rs 29,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant, Rs 31,999 for the 12GB + 256GB variant, and Rs 33,999 for the 12GB + 512GB variant. It will be available for purchase from May 29 on Flipkart and comes in Titanium Glow, Classic Black, and Everland Green colors.
In global markets, the POCO F6 is priced at $379 and $429 for the same configurations. The F6 Pro’s 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB variants cost $499 and $549, respectively. The highest-end model with 16GB + 1TB is priced at $629.
