Oppo is said to be gearing up to launch its Reno 13 series, which focuses on high-quality cameras in the premium mid-range segment, to the global market in January 2025. This series first appeared in China back in November and is set to make its international debut, likely starting with India. A recent leak from 91mobiles has shared a live image showing a new dark blue or purple color that will be exclusive to the Indian audience.
Reno 13 Indian Variant Unveiled
The Reno 13 in China comes in three different color options: black, purple, and blue. The leaked image highlights a dark blue or purple hue with a design that closely mirrors the Chinese version. The Indian variant features an “AI” triple camera system along with a ring-shaped LED. There's a glow around the camera area, possibly caused by an LED strip or light reflection. The side antenna bands suggest a robust metal frame, and the camera bump along with the glass back seems to be a single, seamless piece of glass, creating an interesting light reflection around the camera module.
Pricing and Specifications
The Reno 13 is set to replace its predecessor, the Reno 12, which was launched in India for Rs 32,999 (approximately $390). Right now, it's unclear what the specifications will be for the Indian or global versions of the Reno 13.
The Chinese version of the Reno 13 sports a 6.59-inch curved-edge AMOLED display with a resolution of 1.5K and a refresh rate of 120Hz. Inside, it’s powered by the Dimensity 8350 chipset, offering up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of storage, along with a 5,600mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging. The front camera is a 50-megapixel shooter, while the rear features a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 ultra-wide lens. The device operates on ColorOS 15, which is based on Android 15. It’s likely that the Indian variant could have slightly different specifications.
