Oppo has just unveiled its top-tier smartphones, the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro, in China. These new models feature remarkable enhancements in screen quality, speed, and camera systems, positioning them as strong players in the high-end market. With worldwide release confirmed, here’s a look at what the new Oppo flagships bring to the table.

Oppo Find X8 Pro Specifications

The Find X8 showcases a 6.59-inch 1.5K (2760 × 1256 pixels) adaptive 1Hz-120Hz LTPO OLED flat display from Tianma, featuring ultra-slim 1.45mm bezels and an impressive peak brightness of 4,500 nits. In contrast, the Find X8 Pro offers a slightly larger 6.78-inch (2780×1264 pixels) 1.5K LTPO OLED micro-quad curved display from BOE, which also supports adaptive refresh rates ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz along with the same brightness levels. Both devices are equipped with Dolby Vision and Oppo Crystal Shield protection, ensuring vibrant visuals and strong durability.

Both smartphones utilize the cutting-edge MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC, designed with a 3nm architecture. Users can enjoy up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, providing fast performance and plenty of room for apps, images, and videos. The devices also feature ultra-large-area VC cooling to maintain performance, achieving over 3.1 million on AnTuTu benchmarks.

Camera Capabilities

In terms of camera technology, the Find X8 sports a triple 50MP rear camera system, which includes a primary Sony LYT-700 sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP 3x periscope telephoto lens. Meanwhile, the Find X8 Pro comes with a quad-camera arrangement that adds a 50MP 6x periscope lens. The primary sensor on the Pro variant is a larger 1/1.4” Sony LYT-808, which significantly improves low-light shooting capabilities.

Both models feature 120x digital zoom, a HyperTone image engine for sharper images, and Hasselblad Portrait Mode. They are equipped with various AI functions like AI Erase, AI Anti-Reflection, AI De-Blur, and AI Super Resolution to enhance photo quality.

The Find X8 is powered by a 5,630mAh battery, while the Find X8 Pro comes with a 5,910mAh battery. Both devices support 80W SuperVOOC fast charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging, so users have several options to keep their phones charged all day long.

Additional Features and Pricing

The Find X8 series is designed to be dust and water-resistant with IP68 and IP69 ratings, making them ideal for tough environments. Both models include an in-display fingerprint sensor, dual SIM support, stereo speakers, and compatibility with Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and dual-antenna NFC. The Find X8 Pro also features a Quick Button that acts as a camera shutter and alert slider, giving easy access to important functions.

As for pricing, the Find X8 is available in Starfield Black, Floating Light White, Chasing Wind Blue, and Bubble Pink, starting at 4,199 Yuan ($589) for the 12GB/256GB model, going up to 4,999 Yuan ($702) for the 16GB/512GB version. The Find X8 Pro comes in Hoshino Black, Cloud White, and Sky Blue, starting at 5,299 Yuan ($744) for the 12GB/256GB variant, with the 16GB/1TB Satellite Edition priced at 6,999 Yuan ($983).

Shipments in China will kick off on October 30, with global availability anticipated soon, although Oppo has yet to specify exact dates.
