Digital Chat Station (DCS), an industry insider, has revealed new information about the forthcoming Oppo Find X8. The insider suggests that the device will come with a 6.5-inch OLED display, boasting a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Unlike its predecessors, this model is expected to feature a flat panel display.
Battery and Camera Enhancements
One of the standout features of the Find X8 is its battery. It will leverage silicon battery technology to achieve a larger capacity. Although DCS did not provide an exact figure, the battery capacity is anticipated to fall between 5100mAh and 5500mAh.
The phone is rumored to sport a triple-camera system, including a 3X periscope telephoto lens and Hasselblad tuning. The primary camera is likely to be a 50MP Sony sensor with a large 1/1.4″ size. Oppo is reportedly set to introduce new image-processing algorithms aimed at enhancing camera performance.
Software and Processor
On the software front, the Find X8 is expected to come with ColorOS 15, which, according to DCS, will offer significant user experience improvements.
Previous reports indicate that the phone will be powered by MediaTek's upcoming Dimensity 9400 processor. This System on Chip (SoC) is expected to feature one Cortex-X5 super core clocked at 3.4GHz, three Cortex-X4 super cores, and four Cortex-A7 series large cores.
Performance and Launch Details
While the cores are largely performance-focused, the SoC is rumored to provide a 34% reduction in power consumption without compromising on speed and complexity, along with an 18% boost in performance at the same power level.
Earlier reports suggested that the Oppo Find X8 series might include three models, one more than the Find X7 series. The Find X8 and X8 Pro are anticipated to launch sometime in October, whereas the high-end Find X8 Ultra is scheduled for a separate release in Q1 2025.
