Oppo has made it official that the Oppo A5 Pro is set to be released on December 24 in China. This follows the strong reputation of its predecessor, the Oppo A3 Pro, which was well-known for being tough and reliable. The A3 Pro was the first model to successfully pass the IP69, IP68, and IP66 tests for dust and water resistance, achieving the top level of protection against water.
What to Expect from the Oppo A5 Pro?
The Oppo A3 Pro was remarkably sturdy. It not only boasted an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance but was also fitted with Oppo’s Crystal Shield glass, which provided a 160% increase in drop resistance over standard glass. Additionally, it earned the SGS Golden Five-Star certification for its outstanding ability to withstand drops and impacts.
Specs and Features of the A5 Pro
As an upgraded version, the Oppo A5 Pro is anticipated to enhance this strength, making it something people are looking forward to. The A5 Pro, identified by the model number PKP110, has already been certified by TENAA in China, revealing nearly all its details ahead of the launch.
According to the TENAA listing, the Oppo A5 Pro is expected to feature a 6.7-inch flat OLED display with a resolution of 2412 x 1080 pixels, likely supporting a 120Hz refresh rate along with 10-bit color depth. The display will also include an in-screen fingerprint scanner.
The device will run on a 2.5GHz octa-core chip and will be available with either 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM. Buyers will have the choice between 256 GB or 512 GB of internal storage, with no option for external storage expansion.

For photography enthusiasts, the Oppo A5 Pro will have a 16-megapixel front-facing camera and a dual rear camera setup, consisting of a 50-megapixel main sensor plus a 2-megapixel secondary sensor.
