OnePlus is expected to unveil the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro flagship phone in China this July. Following the earlier release of the Ace 3 and Ace 3V models this year, the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro will be the third device within the Ace 3 lineup. As a Pro variant, it is set to be the most advanced phone in the series. A recent Weibo post by trusted tipster Digital Chat Station indicates that its battery and charging features will remain unrivaled for a significant period.
OnePlus Ace 3 Pro Battery and Charging Capabilities (Rumored)
Digital Chat Station (DCS) reports that the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro will be the first smartphone to boast a 6,100mAh ultra-high-density battery. This cutting-edge battery technology is supported by Ningde Times, also known as CATL (Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited), a leading battery manufacturer.
Earlier, the tipster had disclosed that the Ace 3 Pro would feature a dual-cell battery configuration, with each cell having a rated capacity of 2,970mAh, leading to a combined rated capacity of 5,940mAh. The overall typical value of the battery is anticipated to be 6,100mAh.
Codenamed “Dayu” internally, the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro will support 100W fast charging. The combination of its substantial battery capacity and rapid charging speed distinguishes it from its competitors, who are not expected to match these specifications anytime soon. Competing devices either offer larger batteries but slower charging speeds or faster charging speeds but smaller batteries.
Additional Specifications
Rumors also suggest that the Ace 3 Pro will sport a 6.78-inch curved-edge OLED LTPO display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone will feature a 16-megapixel front camera and a triple camera setup at the back, including a 50-megapixel main sensor with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor.
Under the hood, the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, paired with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. It will feature a metal middle frame and be available in different back options, including glass, leather, and ceramic.
