The Snapdragon 8 Elite and Dimensity 9400 were introduced in October, and numerous smartphones equipped with these high-end SoCs have already been revealed. In terms of performance in synthetic benchmarks, Qualcomm's latest 3 nm SoC has outperformed its competitor in AnTuTu's flagship performance rankings for October 2024.
Performance Rankings
Notably, the OnePlus 13 featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite takes the lead, achieving an average score of 2,926,644. Close behind is the iQoo 13, which also sports the same SoC, ranking second with an average score of 2,906,489. Meanwhile, MediaTek's flagship SoC makes a solid appearance with the Vivo X200 Pro, which comes in third with a score of 2,843,812.
Following Suit
Next in line are the Find X8 Pro and the non-Pro Find X8, both utilizing the Dimensity 9400, securing the fourth and fifth positions with average scores of 2,842,922 and 2,814,445, respectively. The Vivo X200 showcases a more noticeable difference in score among the Dimensity 9400 flagships, landing in sixth place with an average of 2,569,965. The freshly announced Xiaomi 15, even with the Snapdragon 8 Elite, settles for the seventh spot with an average score of 2,546,330.
Other Competitors
Additional phones in the ranking include the Vivo X200 Pro mini, Xiaomi 15 Pro, and iQoo Neo 9S Pro+. Among these devices, only the Neo9S Pro+ uses the previous generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. However, as observed in the rankings, it’s not significantly behind the Xiaomi 15 Pro.
This indicates that the Snapdragon 8 Elite in the Xiaomi 15 series might not yet be fully optimized for high benchmark scores. Remember, synthetic benchmark scores are just one aspect to consider when selecting a smartphone. It's also important to keep in mind that AnTuTu's rankings can change monthly, so it’s likely that Xiaomi’s latest flagship devices could improve their standings soon.
