OnePlus is set to be one of the first brands to launch new smartphones featuring what many believe to be the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. A recent leak from Digital Chat Station indicated that the design won’t stray too far from that of the OnePlus 12, and now the company has released an official teaser that confirms this notion.
Pre-Order Details
The OnePlus 13 is now available for pre-order in China, providing an early look at the phone's rear design. This teaser aligns with the design leak from earlier reports. Specifically, the upcoming phone with the Snapdragon 8 Elite will have an off-centered circular camera array on the back, much like its predecessor.
Camera Specifications
What sets it apart is a horizontal line leading to the camera island, alongside the Hasselblad logo positioned at the top right. In contrast, the OnePlus 12 (12/256 GB currently priced at $649.99 on Amazon) placed the Hasselblad logo inside the circular camera section. The teaser also verified that the phone will have a three-camera arrangement on its back.
Recent sources indicate that one of these three cameras will be a 50 MP Sony LYT808 sensor. OnePlus is expected to combine this with a 50 MP Samsung JN5 ultrawide lens and a Sony LYT600 periscope lens offering 3x optical zoom.
Additional Features and Rumors
Other speculated features for the OnePlus 13 include an IP68 and IP69 water resistance rating, an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, a 6,000 mAh battery, 50W wireless charging, and 100W wired charging capabilities. The company has also confirmed that the device will come equipped with the next-gen BOE X2 display, which is said to be an LTPO screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Although there hasn’t been any official announcement regarding the launch date, it is anticipated that it will be revealed before November.
