OnePlus is preparing to unveil the OnePlus 13, which is set to be released on October 31 in China. In the lead-up to the event, the company has been revealing information about the device's features, including its display. Recently, additional information regarding the phone's connectivity and audio capabilities has emerged.
Advanced Signal Technology
New teasers from OnePlus indicate that the OnePlus 13 will incorporate a feature dubbed 'Super Signal Engineering 2.0,' which appears to be an upgraded version of the Smart Link technology found in the OnePlus 12. OnePlus claims this feature enhances both Bluetooth and network signals.
Impressive Bluetooth Capabilities
Similar to the OnePlus 12 (currently priced at $802 on Amazon), the new model will support Bluetooth 5.4. Nonetheless, OnePlus asserts that the OnePlus 13 boasts a Bluetooth range of 400 meters and can effectively cover an area of 100m2. This allows users to maintain a strong connection when streaming audio, even if their phone is not close by.
Enhanced Communication Features
The enhancements in communication also apply to how the phone connects to cell towers. With the introduction of a subway mode, users can anticipate fewer lags or buffering issues while using streaming services or during video calls on trains.
The OnePlus 13 will feature 360° communication antennas, multi-function NFC that doesn't require precise alignment with payment terminals, and a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port. Additionally, it will come with updated stereo speakers and AI-driven noise reduction with its 4-mic call system.
Smart Remote Control
Moreover, the device will include an infrared blaster for managing compatible electronics. Users can conveniently add a device's remote by simply photographing it. The phone will automatically identify the remote from the picture and include it in the user’s remote list.
Top-Tier Specifications
Alongside these features, the OnePlus 13 will launch with an enhanced display, the new Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, options for up to 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, 100W fast wired charging, and 50W fast wireless charging. It will also feature an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
