The GT 7 Pro has emerged as one of the top flagship Android smartphones in various aspects, primarily due to its significantly enhanced Titan Battery with a capacity of up to 6,500mAh.
Fast Charging Capabilities
Realme asserts that this massive battery can reach a full charge in just 37 minutes when using its 120W SuperVOOC charger, which is included in the package when purchased through Amazon. However, there may be different plans in store for the upcoming GT model.
Upcoming Upgrades
Renowned leaker Digital Chat Station has suggested that Realme is considering a boost to a 7,000mAh battery for the GT 8 Pro. This enhancement could mean that the charging time may increase to about 42 minutes while still using the same 120W charging capability.
Potential Battery Specs
Additionally, there’s talk that the GT 8 Pro might feature an even larger battery of 7,500mAh. But, this would require a slower 100W SuperVOOC charging, extending the full charge time to around 55 minutes.
On another note, the GT 8 Pro could also be equipped with a whopping 8,000mAh battery. Yet again, this upgrade seems to compromise charging speed, dropping it to 80W and necessitating up to 70 minutes to fully charge.
Trade-offs in Features
Nonetheless, being recognized for these impressive battery capacities (likely built on advanced silicon-carbon anode technology similar to the current Titan Battery) could present a challenge akin to what the GT 7 Pro faces against its competitors like the OnePlus 13 and Xiaomi 15 Pro, both of which offer wireless charging. Meanwhile, this feature is absent in the Realme device.
