New OtterBox MagSafe Wireless Power Bank for Hazardous Use

OtterBusiness has introduced its new device, the OtterBox Wireless Power Bank with MagSafe, which is made for use in dangerous work settings. This power bank is said to be the first UL Solutions certified portable power bank designed for risky locations and works well with the OtterBusiness Defender Series Division 2 iPhone cases.

Specifications and Safety Features

With a capacity of 5,000 mAh, this power bank is built to serve the needs of workers in sectors like manufacturing and energy, offering a portable way to charge iPhones safely in hazardous environments. It has certification for Class I, Division 2; Class II, Division 2; and Class III locations, which means it enhances safety by having no open ports, thus lowering the chance of sparks in dangerous areas. These classes refer to hazardous places where flammable gases, vapors, or dust may be found during unusual conditions. Additionally, the power bank has an IP67 rating, ensuring resistance against water and dust, plus it is designed to withstand drops from up to 4 feet (MIL-STD 810G).

Convenient Charging Solutions

Workers can easily attach the power bank to their iPhone thanks to MagSafe technology, making on-the-go charging a breeze. It can also charge both the power bank and the iPhone at the same time when plugged into a MagSafe power source. LED lights show the charging status and battery life, and there’s a secure clip included to keep the power bank attached, which is useful for those moving around frequently in the field.

The PR Newswire announcement did not disclose the price of the power bank, but we can anticipate that an update on this will be provided shortly.
