New HMD Flip Phone Specs and Renders Leaked Online

Earlier this year, HMD unveiled the HMD Barbie, a clamshell phone linked to the Barbie brand. Now, new information has come to light about another flip phone, reportedly named the HMD Icon Flip 1.

Specifications and Features

According to details shared by @smashx_60 on X, the HMD Icon Flip 1 will support 4G LTE. The specifications indicate some resemblances to the HMD Barbie (which can be found on Amazon priced at $129.99), but it is not merely a rebranded version.

The device boasts a 2.8-inch main screen along with a 1.7-inch cover display. It will run on a Unisoc T127 chipset, the same one featured in the HMD 105 4G that was revealed in September. This chipset is complemented by 48MB of RAM and 128MB of storage, typical for feature phones of this nature. HMD plans to launch the phone with the S30+ operating system and will also allow for web applications.

Camera and Connectivity

The leak further indicates that the Icon Flip 1 will come with a 2MP front camera; however, it lacks a rear camera. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.0, an audio jack, a USB-C port, and a removable 1,500mAh battery.

The HMD Icon Flip 1 will be released in colors including Magenta, Bleen (a blend of Blue and Green), and Glossy Black. An image from the leak illustrates the first two colors. The image shows that the Icon Flip 1 will feature its ports located on the left side, a textured power button on the right, and a dual-tone color scheme.

Availability and Pricing

Regrettably, there’s no information available yet regarding the launch date of the HMD Icon Flip 1 or its pricing.
