The Black Shark GS3 Sport smartwatch has officially been introduced in China. This brand is part of the Xiaomi family and had earlier brought out the regular GS3 smartwatch this year. There seems to be a lot of similarities between the two versions.
Display and Features
The GS3 Sport boasts the same 1.43-inch AMOLED screen as the earlier model, featuring a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels, a refresh rate of 60Hz, and brightness that can reach up to 600 nits. It includes health monitoring functions such as heart rate and blood oxygen level tracking, plus GNSS positioning and Bluetooth calling with Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC). An enhancement noted is the larger variety of sports modes, with Black Shark stating there are more than 120 available. Additionally, this smartwatch is equipped with an LED flashlight and is said to last up to 18 days on a single charge.
Design and Pricing
This device is water-resistant up to 50 meters, weighs in at 31 grams (around 0.07 pounds), and comes in three vibrant colors: black, red, and purple. The Black Shark GS3 Sport smartwatch can be purchased in China for CNY 499 (roughly $68). It's still uncertain if or when this model will be available in other parts of the world. Meanwhile, you could check out alternative options like the Redmi Watch 5 Active smartwatch, which is priced at $59.97 on Amazon.
