A brand new collaboration between Bait and Casio has introduced the G-Shock DW5600 watch. Bait, a high-end concept store located on the West Coast of the United States, has previously teamed up with Casio to produce models such as the DW5600BAIT20.
The “Innovation” Model
This fresh limited edition timepiece is called “Innovation,” and it commemorates the emergence of personal technology in the 1980s. This release also marks the anniversary of the original DW5600, which first hit the market in 1983. The Bait G-Shock DW5600 features a white resin case, strap, and octagonal bezel. Its design seems to draw some influence from Apple’s 80s branding, showcasing a rainbow-striped flame icon and a font that resembles that used for the model’s description on the strap.
Features and Specifications
Bait mentions that the watch dial includes glow-in-the-dark features around the green negative mode LCD. It boasts a variety of functions such as a stopwatch, countdown timer, alarm, and a backlight for easy reading in low-light conditions. Furthermore, the watch is designed to be shock-resistant and can withstand water up to 200 m (~656 ft). The Bait x Casio G-Shock DW5600 will debut at ComplexCon (CactusCon) in Las Vegas, taking place from November 16 to 17. After that, it will be available at Bait’s online and physical stores across the US for $150. Meanwhile, older models like the DW5600E-1V can be found on Amazon for just $48.48.
