Insights from Motorola Executives
Ruben Castano, who serves as the Vice President of Customer Experience and Design at Motorola, emphasized the importance of this year’s color and the ongoing partnership with Pantone, stating:
“Mocha Mousse emphasizes the significance of enjoying the moment—a reminder to appreciate life’s small joys. It also motivated us to design a new soft inlay made from coffee grounds. Its warm and soothing essence captured the sensory quality of this hue.
“We utilized Mocha Mousse on two distinct devices because this color is remarkably adaptable and fashionable. This provides our customers with enhanced opportunities for connection, happiness, and self-expression. We take immense pride in the devices that showcase the Pantone Color of the Year 2025 and our long-term strategic partnership with Pantone.”
Pantone's Perspective
Laurie Pressman, the Vice President of the Pantone Color Institute, also expressed her views on the partnership:
“The rising trend to connect more closely with the natural world is beautifully articulated by Motorola in the gadgets they developed using Pantone Color of the Year 2025. Defined by its organic character, PANTONE 17-1230 Mocha Mousse skillfully merges the digital and physical realms, adding an intimate and sensory aspect to the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra/Motorola Razr+ and the Motorola Edge 50 Neo, enhancing our daily interactions with our beloved devices.”
