The Chinese brand Morefine has launched a new compact desktop computer. The S800 is quite small, measuring only 5.9 x 5.8 x 2.2 inches, and it has a unique chassis design. The top part of the case features a striking logo and design, giving it a futuristic, cyberpunk appearance.
Performance Specifications
Every version of the S800 comes with an Intel Core Ultra 9 185H processor. While it lacks a built-in graphics card, users have the option to connect an external GPU. This can be done through USB 4, though it’s important to mention that this method doesn’t provide the same level of graphics performance as the stronger OCuLink connection.
Storage and Memory Options
This mini PC is designed with two memory slots that can support up to 96GB of DDR5 RAM running at 5,600 MHz. Unusually, it can hold two M.2 2280 SSDs, both utilizing four PCIe 4.0 lanes for connectivity. There’s also room for a 2.5-inch SSD that can be up to 0.27 inches thick, making it simple to upgrade storage capacity.
Connectivity Features
For external storage, users can take advantage of USB 3.0 connections, as the S800 includes two USB 3.0 ports and four USB 2.0 ports. Additionally, one of the two Ethernet ports offers data transmission rates of 2.5 Gbit/s. For video output, HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.4 are available as options. The device also supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.
The Morefine S800 is available for pre-order directly from the company, starting at a price of $659. Customers can purchase the mini PC in a barebone setup, meaning it will arrive without RAM or SSD. Shipping is anticipated to begin in mid-February.
