Meizu has officially announced the upcoming arrival of the Meizu 21 Note, expanding its Meizu 21 series. Unlike its predecessors, the Meizu 21 and 21 Pro, which were powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, the Note model will step down to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.
Launch Details
The official launch date for the Meizu 21 Note has been scheduled for May 16th in China. Alongside this announcement, Meizu has unveiled a poster that showcases the phone's design. The 21 Note boasts a flat display with minimal bezels, offering a sleek and modern look.
Design and Specifications
Featuring a dual camera system on the back panel with an RGB ring LED flash, the Meizu 21 Note will be available in black and white color variants. This design choice contrasts with earlier leaks that hinted at an iPhone-like rear camera layout.
Technical Details
The device will come with a 6.8-inch OLED display sporting a 1.5K resolution and an impressive 144Hz refresh rate. Paired with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, the phone will offer 16GB of RAM and house a 5,500mAh battery. Meizu has also confirmed that the device will run on Flyme “AIOS,” likely based on Android 14.
While specific details remain limited at this point, Meizu is anticipated to reveal more information about the phone as the launch date approaches.
Additional Features
Among the rumored features are LPDDR4x RAM, 66W fast charging support, a 16-megapixel front camera, and a rear camera setup comprising a primary 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 sensor with OIS and an additional 8-megapixel sensor. The phone may also include dual speakers, an x-axis linear motor for enhanced haptics, NFC for contactless payments, an IR blaster, a glass back, a metal middle frame, and an IP53 rating for dust and water resistance.
