MediaTek has officially announced that the Dimensity 9300 Plus will be revealed at the MediaTek Dimensity Developer Conference (MDDC) event on May 7 in China. This new chipset is set to build upon the foundation laid by its predecessor, the Dimensity 9300 SoC, which was introduced last November. Following the official unveiling, the first smartphone equipped with this upgraded chip is anticipated to make its debut in the market shortly afterward.
Dimensity 9300 Plus Specifications
While specific details regarding the Dimensity 9300 Plus remain undisclosed by MediaTek, there are indications that it will be an enhanced version of the existing Dimensity 9300. It is rumored to feature 1 x Cortex-X4 core operating at 3.4GHz, 3 x Cortex-X4 cores functioning at 2.85GHz, and 4 x Cortex-A720 cores clocked at 2.0GHz. Additionally, reports suggest that the SoC will come equipped with the Immortalis-G720 MC12 GPU.
Launch Date and Future Devices
Further information concerning the Dimensity 9300 Plus is currently scarce; however, it is speculated that its features will likely align closely with those of the Dimensity 9300. The upcoming Vivo X100s and X100s Pro smartphones, set for release in China next month, are expected to be among the first devices to incorporate this new chipset.
Recently, the Dimensity 9300 Plus-powered Vivo X100s was benchmarked on AnTuTu, achieving an impressive score of 2,305,267 points. Similarly, on Geekbench, the device recorded a single-core score of 1966 and a multi-core score of 10,244 points.
The highly anticipated Redmi K70 Ultra, scheduled for a potential launch in June or July of this year, is also rumored to feature the Dimensity 9300 Plus chipset. Additionally, an altered variant of this device bearing the Xiaomi 14T Pro branding is expected to hit the global market later in the year.
