MediaTek Dimensity 8250: Everything You Need to Know

The rivalry between MediaTek and Qualcomm is intensifying as both companies strive to produce top-tier chipsets and secure their presence in more smartphones. MediaTek’s Dimensity 8250 exemplifies this strategy.

This SoC, although not widely available yet, is noteworthy for its remarkable features and performance. So, what sets the MediaTek Dimensity 8250 apart? Here are the details…

MediaTek Dimensity 8250 Specifications

The Dimensity 8250 processor, built with 4nm manufacturing technology, promises excellent energy efficiency comparable to modern flagship smartphones. It also excels in performance.

The CPU of the MediaTek Dimensity 8250 operates at a frequency of 3.1 GHz and consists of 8 cores: one Arm Cortex-A78 at 3.1GHz, three Arm Cortex-A78 at 3.0GHz, and four Arm Cortex-A55 at 2.0GHz.

For graphics, the chipset employs the Arm Mali-G610 MC6 GPU, known for its ideal performance, especially in gaming, as seen in devices like the Xiaomi 13T, Tecno Camon 30 Pro, and Vivo V30 Pro.

The chipset supports LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, ensuring high read and write speeds. It can power displays with refresh rates up to 180Hz at FHD+ resolution or up to 120Hz at QHD+ resolution, enhancing visual responsiveness and smoothness.

When it comes to cameras, the MediaTek Dimensity 8250 impresses with support for 4K (3840 x 2160) video at 60 FPS, camera resolutions up to 320 megapixels, and simultaneous triple 32+32+32MP setups.

It also supports modern connectivity technologies such as Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and 5G. Below is the full spec table for the MediaTek Dimensity 8250:
