Leica Launches Cine Play 1: 4K Projector with RGB Laser & Smart Control

Leica has introduced the Cine Play 1 smart mini premium projector in China, now available on JD.com. Initially priced at 15,888 Yuan ($2,213), it's currently on sale for a reduced price of 13,888 Yuan ($1,934) thanks to a subsidy. Let's take a look at the main features of this projector.

Key Features of the Leica Cine Play 1

The Leica Cine Play 1 projector has a small, portable design that uses cutting-edge laser technology. It supports 4K resolution and can project images as large as 300 inches, making it perfect for entertainment both indoors and outdoors.

Equipped with RGB triple-laser technology, the projector has a long lifespan of over 25,000 hours and provides brightness of 3000 CVIA lumens. This ensures that viewers can enjoy clear and high-contrast visuals, even in bright settings. Additionally, it supports Dolby Vision, HDR10, HDR10+, and HLG formats.

Excellent Image Quality

The projector features a high-performance Leica Summicron zoom lens, ensuring that 4K image quality is maintained across screen sizes from 65 to 300 inches. To improve image quality further, it incorporates Leica Image Optimization (LIOTM) technology, which aids in natural color reproduction, smooth gradients, and high contrast.

For sound, the Cine Play 1 has dual 10W speakers that produce strong bass and clear audio. It also includes DTS Virtual technology, providing a 3D surround sound experience that enhances the viewing experience.

Connectivity and Smart Features

The projector offers various connectivity options, including Apple AirPlay, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and additional ports like HDMI, USB, and LAN. This allows users to easily stream content from different devices, such as smartphones, laptops, and external drives.

An intuitive built-in smart system gives users quick access to popular streaming apps. The projector also supports smart home features and voice control for added convenience.

User-Friendly Setup

The Cine Play 1 provides automatic calibration and focus, simplifying the setup process without requiring manual adjustments. Its lightweight design, inspired by Bauhaus, features a premium aluminum body with a glass front, making it suitable for any home decor.

Just recently, Xiaomi's ecosystem partner, Xming, unveiled its budget-friendly Q5 Neo projector, which boasts 300 CVIA brightness, 4K decoding, and a 360° gimbal for flexible viewing options.
