Vivo S18 Series: Leaked Design and Camera Specifications
Vivo recently introduced the Vivo S17 series, consisting of three models - Vivo S17e, Vivo S17, and Vivo S17 Pro. Now, there are rumors circulating about the upcoming successors to these phones. A well-known tipster, Digital Chat Station, has leaked information regarding the design of the S18 series, as well as the camera specifications of the S18 Pro.
Design of the Vivo S18 Series
Earlier this week, Digital Chat Station shared a schematic image revealing the design of the iQOO Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro smartphones, set to launch in December in China. In a recent Weibo post, the tipster shared a similar image, claiming that the Vivo S18, expected to launch in December in China as well, will have a very similar design.
While the iQOO Neo 9 series will feature a flat display, the S18 and S18 Pro are likely to have a curved-edge OLED screen. Additionally, there may be differences in the rear camera module, as the S18 series is expected to include a telephoto camera, a feature not found in the Neo 9 series.
Camera Specifications of the Vivo S18 Pro
According to the leaked information, both the Vivo S18 and S18 Pro will sport a 50-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) support. The Pro model is rumored to feature the Sony IMX920 lens as its main camera, while it remains unclear whether the standard model will have the same primary camera. The Pro model's camera module is said to include a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a telephoto camera.
Specifications and Variants
The leak also confirms that the Vivo S18 will be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, while the Pro variant will come equipped with the Dimensity 9200 Plus SoC. Both phones are expected to house a 5,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging support.
In terms of memory and storage, the Vivo S18, codenamed V2323A, is rumored to be available in four configurations: 8GB RAM + 256GB storage, 12GB RAM + 256GB storage, 12GB RAM + 512GB storage, and 16GB RAM + 512GB storage. It is likely that the S18 Pro will have the same variants as the S18. Additionally, the leak suggests that a Vivo S18e is also in the works, featuring a flat display instead of the curved-edge screen found on the Vivo S17e.
Color Options
All three models, the Vivo S18, S18 Pro, and S18e, are expected to be offered in black, green, and a multi-color hue.
