Tipster Digital Chat Station has disclosed crucial specifications of the iQOO Pad 2, identified by the model number iPA2475, suggesting an imminent release. This upcoming device is set to feature 66W fast charging capability and is expected to support the UFCS fast charging protocol.
UFCS Fast Charging Protocol
The UFCS fast charging protocol, developed in collaboration with the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) and major smartphone manufacturers like Huawei, Vivo, and Xiaomi, will be compatible with the iQOO Pad 2.
Similarity to vivo Pad 3 Pro
Reports indicate that the iQOO Pad 2 will share a close resemblance in specifications to the rumored vivo Pad 3 Pro, previously identified on Geekbench featuring MediaTek's powerful Dimensity 9300 chip. The vivo Pad 3 Pro was rumored to boast a 13.1" 3.1K+ 144Hz LCD panel, 16GB RAM, 11500mAh battery, and a strong emphasis on performance.
The Dimensity 9300 chip, MediaTek's latest flagship processor launched in November last year, is manufactured on TSMC's 4nm process. It comprises 4 Cortex-X4 performance cores, with one reaching a clock speed of 3.25GHz and the remaining three clocked at 2.85GHz. Additionally, it integrates 4 Cortex-A720 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz and a 12-core Immortalis-G720 GPU, supporting MediaTek's second-generation hardware-enabled ray tracing technology.
Comparison to Previous iQOO Pad
In contrast, the iQOO Pad released in May last year featured a slightly smaller 12.1" 2.8K 144Hz display with 600 nits peak brightness. This earlier model supported a stylus and touch keyboard, available as separate accessories. Powered by the Dimensity 9000+ chip, it was coupled with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB onboard storage.
