The Xiaomi 15 is anticipated to be the first device to utilize the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, but it's not the only contender. iQOO is also in the race, with plans to feature the 8 Gen 4 in its upcoming iQOO 13 model.
Today, tipster Digital Chat Station posted on Weibo that the engineering sample of the iQOO 13 is undergoing tests. It boasts a flat OLED 8T LTPO display with a resolution of 2800 x 1260 pixels, also known as 1.5K.
Specifications and Features
As previously mentioned, the iQOO 13 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, coupled with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The leak hints at a substantial battery for the device but doesn’t specify its exact capacity.
Another well-known tipster, Smart Pikachu, has previously claimed that the iQOO 13 will come with a 6000mAh battery and support 120W fast charging. This is a notable upgrade from its predecessor, iQOO 12, which had a 5000mAh battery.
iQOO 12 Pro
The iQOO 13 series will also feature a Pro model. This higher-end version is expected to have a curved screen with a higher 2K resolution. While it will likely share the same chipset as the standard model, other specifications have yet to be revealed.
Although the leaks don't specify when the iQOO 13 series will be launched, it's improbable that it will debut before the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4’s expected release in October 2024. We will continue to update you with any new information about these smartphones.
