iQOO has made a big splash by launching the iQOO 13, its new flagship smartphone, in China on October 30th. The global availability is set for December 3rd. This device is filled with top-notch specifications. Today, iQOO revealed that the iQOO 13 comes with a fresh fragmentation defragmentation feature for the new UFS 4.1 storage system. They’ve claimed that the speed for installing apps and copying files has jumped by 50% and 36%, respectively. This should lead to a notable decrease in how long apps take to load.
Snapdragon 8 Elite and Gaming Capabilities
Within the device, the iQOO 13 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, along with LPDDR5X Ultra memory. This impressive combination achieved a remarkable score of 3 million points on AnTuTu. The performance of the iQOO 13 is perfectly designed to meet the demands of high-end gaming, boasting optimized efficiency and heat management, which allows it to maintain 60fps while playing Genshin Impact.
Moreover, the Q2 chip allows for frame rate interpolation, providing up to 144fps in certain games that support it. The super-resolution feature means gamers can enjoy a 2K gaming experience. At launch, there are over 140 super-frame games available, alongside more than 100 super-resolution games, with 98 of them supporting both features. These elements showcase iQOO’s commitment to delivering a top-tier mobile gaming experience, making the iQOO 13 a strong option for gamers seeking flagship performance.
Enhanced Battery Life in a Sleeker Design
The iQOO 13 is equipped with a powerful 6150mAh battery, an upgrade from the 5000mAh found in the iQOO 12. Despite this larger capacity, the device impressively maintains a slim profile at just 7.99mm, making it thinner than the previous model. This battery utilizes iQOO’s third-generation silicon negative electrode tech, which enhances battery longevity and power efficiency.
To add to this, the iQOO 13 supports 100W wired charging, with a charger that also provides PD output compatibility, which is great for charging laptops and tablets too. This fast charger can fully recharge the smartphone in approximately 30 minutes, ensuring that users experience minimal downtime. Additionally, a bypass charging option allows the phone to be powered directly from the adapter, which helps to lessen battery wear during extended gaming sessions.
The iQOO 13 features a beautiful 6.82-inch 2K (3168×1440) 8T LTPO flat display, crafted using BOE’s latest Q10 luminous material. This high-end display offers a 144Hz refresh rate and a peak local brightness that reaches an impressive 4500 nits, a significant increase from the 3000 nits of the iQOO 12. iQOO has also included a custom eye-protection solution utilizing circular polarized light, designed to minimize eye strain during long usage periods.
