Rumors have been circulating about the anticipated release of the iQOO 13, with expectations set for a launch in China this November. Recently, leaker Digital Chat Station shared some important insights via a Weibo post concerning the phone's camera features and design aspects.
iQOO 13 Camera Features (Rumored)
According to the Weibo post, the iQOO 13 is rumored to sport three 50-megapixel cameras. However, the tipster did not provide detailed information about the specific camera sensors that will be featured. For context, the iQOO 12 came with a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS, a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom and OIS, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens with autofocus.
DCS mentioned that the camera module might resemble Xiaomi’s newly revamped logo, implying that the iQOO 13 may retain the squircle camera island design seen in the iQOO 12. The overall design of the device is expected to remain mostly the same, with an additional “Rococo White” color option for the engineering model. The primary emphasis during this prototype phase is on optimizing and boosting the device’s performance.
Display and Design
On the front, the iQOO 13 will be equipped with a BOE-supplied OLED screen featuring a flat design. It’s expected to deliver a 2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The leaker suggested that the screen's specifications would be similar to those of the BOE X1. Additionally, the phone will have thinner bezels on all sides. It has been confirmed that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset will power the device.
Additional Features
A recent leak indicated that the iQOO 13's glass back would include a light strip reminiscent of first-generation iQOO models. Other speculated features of the device are an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor, a 6,000mAh battery with 100W charging capability, a metal middle frame, and an IP68-rated body.
