iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max Prices Drop in India: Should You Wait?

Apple has permanently reduced the prices of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max in India for the first time. Following its tradition, the Cupertino-based tech company discontinues flagship models with the release of a new generation, expected in September. This price reduction is likely due to the Indian government's recent budget session, which lowered the import duty rate from 20 percent to 15 percent.

iPhone 15 Pro, Pro Max Price Reduction in India

Apple has decreased the price of the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max by Rs 6,000 across all storage variants in India. While the brand hasn't explicitly stated the reason for the price cut, the updated prices are now visible on Apple's official website. It's important to note that prices could be even lower at Apple Authorized Resellers and third-party stores.

The iPhone 15 Pro now starts at Rs 1,29,800 for the base 128GB model, originally priced at Rs 1,34,900. The 256GB and 512GB models are now available for Rs 1,39,800 and Rs 1,59,700, down from Rs 1,44,900 and Rs 1,64,900, respectively. The 1TB version can be bought for Rs 1,79,400, reduced from Rs 1,84,900.

For the iPhone 15 Pro Max, the 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB models now cost Rs 1,54,000, Rs 1,73,900, and Rs 1,93,500, respectively. These were previously priced at Rs 1,59,900, Rs 1,79,900, and Rs 1,99,900.

Price Comparison and Savings

Based on the revised pricing, the iPhone 15 Pro is now up to Rs 5,500 cheaper, and the Pro Max models have seen a reduction of up to Rs 6,000.

Should You Wait to Buy?

With the festive season approaching, it might be wise to hold off on purchasing any iPhones, even after this price cut. The devices could be available for even less during the sale season, along with attractive bank offers. Many authorized resellers are already selling the Pro models at slightly lower prices than Apple's store and website. There might also be exchange bonuses for trading in your old iPhone, depending on the retailer and timing. Moreover, the launch of the iPhone 16 in September means that the current-generation non-Pro models will also receive an official price cut.
